Scandinavian Style in Brooklyn
Love this Brooklyn townhouse with its largely white, gray, and blond interior and the sparse and modern furnishing.
OYOY
Absolutely in love with Danish brand OYOY, which was founded in 2012 by Lotte Fynboe. Shape, graphic, color and clean materials inspire Lotte Fynboe and her motto is “Less is More”. A lot of the products are redesigns of her childhood memories.
At Home : Living at a Gas Station
“This virtually useless construction in the perfect central location fascinated me and somehow called to me: do something with me!”
The first time Juerg Judin saw the gas station was in 1992 and when he saw it again in 2005 its “For Sale” sign was gone. Luckily for him though the sign had simply fallen down. Upon realizing this, he went for it and bought the gas station which is located in the middle of Berlin Schöneberg. Over time he converted this unconventional home into an urban retreat with an oasis-like garden and lots of natural light. He even has three chickens of the noble Indonesian breed Ayam Cemani living in his garden, along with some equally exotic geese and ducks.
Hübsch Collection
For their 2016 tendencies, Danish company Hübsch chose to showcase their collection in their personal home rather than a studio. Their mix of functionality with spaciousness, light and creativity is sure to inspire.
